Greeting from
the Chair of the Host Committee
Miyuki Ishiguro
Before anything else, I would like to send my profound and sincere wishes that you and your family, friends and colleagues are all safe and healthy despite the problems brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. Under these circumstances, it is our great pleasure to announce to you that we will host the 2024 IPBA Annual Meeting and Conference in Tokyo, Japan, from April 24th to 27th in 2024, and you are all very welcome to attend. As many of you know, the IPBA was founded in Tokyo in 1991 and this 2024 IPBA Annual Meeting and Conference will be a truly historic event.
Although we are all living in a world suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic, our cutting-edge digital technology has proven its application and efficiency by keeping us connected through the Internet and social media. Technology can indeed make the world a better and more sustainable place, but it can also do great harm unless we make deliberate use of our wisdom as human beings in dealing with such technology. It can therefore be said that our future rests on our wisdom.
With this in mind, our sense of balance and approach toward legal issues as business lawyers are now more important than ever. Therefore, we hope that you can attend IPBA 2024 and share your feelings and wisdom with us all.
We look forward to seeing you again and having valuable discussions with you in Tokyo!
